4th of July Mass

4th of July at Saint James Parish

Welcome to St. James Parish

The St. James family is a welcoming Catholic community sent forth from our celebration of the Eucharist to walk in faith, live in hope, and act in love. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we are committed to justice and peace through prayer, education, evangelization and stewardship.

The best way for you to experience firsthand the true vibrancy of the parish is to join us at one of our six weekend liturgies. We also have more than 60 ministries offering opportunities to get involved, no matter if you have an hour a week or a day a week.

I encourage you to join one of our ministries or take part in a parish event and bring the family, invite a friend – all are welcome!

Anchors of the Saint James Community

BELONG

I will engage with our community in prayer and a spirit of open invitation as we support each other on our faith journey.

Saint James Parish will open its doors to welcome each member of our parish as we build a Catholic community of faith, nurtured with care and compassion.

PRAY

I will gather with our community in weekly Sunday Mass, participate fully with our parish in worship and the Sacraments, and seek to make personal daily prayer an integral part of my individual faith life.

Saint James Parish will help to form and inspire our prayer life and will bring God’s word to life in the liturgy, worship and the Sacraments.

SERVE

I will freely volunteer my time, God-given talents and gifts to the ministries of Saint James parish and in service to others in Arlington Heights and beyond.

Saint James Parish will guide us in discovering our individual talents and gifts and how we can use them to put our Catholic faith into action.

LEARN

I will seek to grow in knowledge and understanding of my Catholic faith and how to integrate it into my daily life and my encounters with others.

Saint James Parish will provide opportunities through which parishioners of all ages can learn, believe and live our Catholic faith.
